A Barbie World.
Between the artificial and the human
the artist amplifies this tension to surreal extremes. The woman at the center is caught mid-transformation: part human, part glossy avatar, part consumer product. Against a backdrop of iconography—Eiffel Towers, saturated leaves—her plastic skin gleams like a mask we all recognize.
Together, these works form a provocative meditation on what it means to exist in an age of simulation and excess. Delaye challenges us to look beyond the shiny surfaces, to question the myths of consumption, and to confront the ways our own identities are shaped, packaged, and sold back to us.
